Surprised this was covered up for so long:

A worthwhile article in today's New York Times Magazine: The Lost Soldiers of Stalag IX-B by Roger Cohen.

I'm not surprised the Nazis did this. I'm not surprised that the US government was complicit in covering it up. Just surprised that someone didn't uncover this long ago.
